We arrive on site with our state of the art equipment, decades of experience, and custom fit your roof. Manufacturing on-site, a solid line of roofing panel that is durable, stylish and cost efficient. |
Home and cottage owners, institutions, builders and architects have all discovered the snap-loc advantage. Using leading edge on-site roll formers we create the best in the business, custom made for you, just for your needs.
Asphalt shingles are heavy and become porous with time, making replacement a very costly and environmentally damaging necessity within 8-10 years. Our panels will age gracefully long after this and can be painted for a new look for many years to come.
For roofing purposes, metal roofing panels prove a sensible and beneficial alternative. Metal panels require hardly any maintenance, and hence prove economical in terms of cost, in the long run. They are tough, durable and attractive. They can withstand fierce winds, they do not freeze in ice-cold weather; hence they are much preferred in snowy areas like ours. Their ability to provide a fireproof cover makes them the obvious choice in areas where wildfires are a problem or just piece of mind. Since they are extremely tough, yet lightweight, they are much preferred to conventional roof products such as asphalt, wood, tile or slate.
Why Choose Aluminum Snap-Loc Panels?
Aluminum is the choice for virtually any roof where steel or other materials are being considered. Its natural properties of light weight, strength and longevity make it a desirable roofing material. These qualities make aluminum the number one metal of the aerospace industry, so it only makes |
sense for them to be equally popular in the roofing industry.
Because aluminum roofs are lightweight, consumers can re-roof their home and reduce the weight on their housing structure. Unlike heavy tile and slate roofing, aluminum roofing does not require structural reinforcement. The other important factor to consider is an aluminum roof's resistance to rust and corrosion over time. These unique characteristics makes aluminum roofing the preferred material in salt spray costal environments as well as the rest of Canada’s harsh ever changing environments.
So why isn’t aluminum used more extensively? The primary obstacles have been cost per square foot and misconceptions concerning the structural limitations of aluminum. Recent innovations in panel design, and alloy’s have served to significantly broaden the application range for aluminum panels.
Despite recent inflation in steel costs, asphalt and other materials, the initial installed cost of aluminum remains slightly higher than steel, not for us, we install for the same price per square. For many applications, building owners are increasingly deciding to use aluminum when they are fully informed of its advantages.
An intrinsic attribute of our aluminum panel is its corrosion-resistant properties – a significant advantage over steel. In the typical architectural application, G-90 galvanized steel or AZ 55 Galvalume® steel are coated with a full Kynar 500 fluorocarbon finish. Either substrate provides adequate protection in a “normal” environment unless and until it is abraded. Surface scratches can cause the corrosion process to accelerate. This is particularly the case in acid rain regions, coastal areas, and other aggressive environments. All steel is abraded during the installation process to an extent so, the advantage quickly switches to aluminum due to its superior corrosion resistance. Most manufacturers’ warranties specifically exclude corrosion of the substrate.

Aluminum features significantly lower weight per panel – It’s easier to cut and work in the field. This adds up to labour cost savings. Aluminum also scores well in sustainable design. A typical aluminum roof panel includes 90-percent recycled content and it is fully recyclable when necessary. Combined with a solar-reflective Energy Star®-listed “cool” coating, aluminum roofing is an excellent choice for a LEED-qualified project.
Many architects prefer aluminum and use it every chance they get – particularly when they are working directly with building owners. They feel the additional cost of aluminum is inconsequential compared to the overall “value” enhancement of the project. In any assessment of overall life-cycle and long-term maintenance costs, the choice between steel and aluminum begins to become a no brainer, aluminum is the way to go. And if your project is located in an acid-rain environment or direct coastal area, you should strongly consider aluminum.
And lastly, because aluminum is more malleable, it can generally be formed into more intricate and detailed product designs which allow the building of strength and beauty into a roof. |

Aluminum Facts |
The oldest aluminum roof in the world was installed in 1880 on the Chief Secretary’s office building in Sydney, Australia, and is
still in sound condition.
When compared with other roofing materials, metal roofing is extremely low in weight. Aluminum is the lightest at between 44 to 60 pounds per square, while steel comes in at 100 to 120 pounds per square. Copper is about 150 pounds per square. |
Annual net shipments of aluminum for the building and construction market exceed 3.5 billion pounds. |
Aluminum is the second most abundant metallic element in the Earth’s crust after silicon. |
Measured either in quantity or value, aluminum’s use exceeds that of any other metal except iron. |
Sir Humphry Davy of Britain established the existence of aluminum in 1808 and named it. |

Aluminum Panels: Great for the Environment! |
Our Aluminum panels not only provide premium protection, they are also great for the environment. According to the Bureau of Cedar Shakes and Shingles, three full grown trees are destroyed for the average shake roof.
When it comes to asphalt, One study has shown that shingles buried in landfills, made from oil impregnated paper or fibreglass, it will take over 300 years to decompose.

Our panels can be installed directly over existing shingles, provided the roof is in a fairly good state, saving millions of tons of shingles filling up a landfill with potentially toxic waste.
Aluminum roofing panels are completely recyclable and often have a high recycled content.
